At Mario's Packhouse, we take our responsibility toward sustainability seriously. As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we've made significant investments in sustainable practices across our farming and packing operations. Some key investments include:
Solar Power
We've installed a 100KW solar system, which currently powers 50% of our warehouse operations. This system is an essential step in lowering our carbon footprint, with plans to expand it further in the near future.
Water Management
To minimise waste and maximise efficiency, we collect all wastewater and stormwater onsite. This water is treated and then reused to irrigate our farmland, helping us reduce water usage and promote responsible resource management.
Energy Efficiency
We have also upgraded our packing line in 2024, implementing energy-efficient technology designed to reduce power consumption while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect.
Waste Management
To minimise landfill, we compost our waste and reuse the compost as fertiliser on the farm.
